Il miglior cibo di strada italiano targato “Streetfood” nel 2016 riparte da marzo con la prima data del tour nazionale e lo farà una vera e propria novità: saranno infatti presenti per la prima volta i “food truck”, gli operatori sul furgoncino attrezzato con il nuovo progetto firmato Streetfood che prende il nome significativo di “4Wheels”, un marchio che richiama il cibo su ruote ma gli organizzatori sono sempre “quelli con la tendina”.

Insomma in un periodo in cui proliferano in ogni dove eventi legati a questa “moda”, l’unica associazione, la prima in Italia ad aver riunito e tutelato gli operatori di strada, è stata chiamata e richiamata per promuovere eventi in tutto il corso dell’anno.

Saranno oltre 30 gli eventi in programma. Il tour partirà a marzo a Castelfiorentino (Fi), in Toscana, e si concluderà a novembre a Belluno. Più date già rispetto allo scorso anno. La formula non cambia, ma anzi si migliora forte già della presenza di milioni di persone raggiunte lo scorso anno. Tra le grandi novità, oltre a tre appuntamenti in cui il cibo di strada si legherà a denominazioni vitivinicole con i “wine tour” previsti a Nizza Monferrato (At), Senigallia (An) e San Casciano Val di Pesa (Fi) in Chianti Classico, anche uno “Streetfish Village” in programma a Senigallia nel mese di settembre. Gli Streetfood Village sono sinonimo di festa, di promozione del buon cibo di strada, ma anche un momento grazie al quale le singole città e borghi che li ospitano riescono a promuovere e in certi casi addirittura rilanciare aree urbane di particolare interesse. “Noi siamo nati per portare la cultura del cibo di strada in giro – spiega Massimiliano Ricciarini, presidente di Streetfood – ma anche per aiutare i singoli territori a rivivere”.

I food truck con la tendina sono la grande novità delle attività 2016 promosse dall’Associazione. Sotto il marchio “4Wheels” infatti saranno ben due per ora gli eventi esclusivi in programma, ad Arezzo in Toscana, dall’8 al 10 aprile e a Chioggia, in Veneto, dal 13 al 15 maggio. “Abbiamo coinvolto tre truck già nel nostro primo evento nel 2010 a Marciano (Ar) – continua Ricciarini – e già da allora avevamo chiaro in mente come questo settore si sarebbe sviluppato e oggi abbiamo la conoscenza e i giusti mezzi per poter allargare questo mondo anche a questo genere di operatori di strada”. Si tratta di un modo di interpretare in chiave moderna il cibo di strada, pur non perdendone i valori essenziali che sono poi quelli raccolti dal decalogo del cibo di strada che l’associazione porta avanti e con il quale seleziona i propri partner.

Negli eventi dello scorso anno, 28 come detto, l’ultimo a Belluno, sono state raggiunte in tutta Italia quasi due milioni di persone che hanno consumato oltre 1 tonnellata di fritto di pesce e 600 quintali tra patate fritte tradizionali e tipo “tornado”. Oltre 50 mila piadine, poi ancora 100 mila arancine, 800 chili di pane ca’ Meusa, 500 chili di panelle. Oltre una tonnellata di paella spagnola, 60 quintali di carne argentina e 40 quintali di lampredotto. Dalla Puglia sono arrivati più di 70 quintali di bombette e 600 sono i chili di lime per i cocktail “on the road”. Dall’Abruzzo 120 mila arrosticini e dalla Toscana 600 chili di carne Chianina per hamburger. Un successo non solo per gli organizzatori degli eventi, ma da condividere con gli operatori economici del settore e le realtà territoriali che hanno creduto in questo progetto. Anche decine di eventi collaterali, momenti di confronto e convegni, un concorso dedicato alla stampa nazionale e decine di concerti che hanno fatto da sfondo alle varie tappe.

There will be over 30 events scheduled. The tour will begin in March in Castelfiorentino (Florence), in Tuscany, and will end in November in Belluno. More dates already from last year. The formula does not change, but rather it enhances the already strong presence of millions of people reached last year. Among the big news, in addition to three events where street food will bind to wine appellations with “wine tour” provided in Nizza Monferrato (At), Senigallia (An) and San Casciano Val di Pesa (Fi) in the Chianti Classico , also one “Streetfish Village” to be held in Senigallia in September. The Streetfood Village are synonymous with celebration, promotion of good street food, but also a time by which individual cities and towns that host them are able to promote and in some cases even revive urban areas of particular interest. “We were born to bring the culture of street food around – explains Massimiliano Ricciarini, president of Streetfood – but also to help individual territories to revive.”

The food truck with the curtain are the big news of the activities promoted by the Association in 2016. Under the brand “4wheels” for now it will be two exclusive events scheduled, in Arezzo in Tuscany, from 8 to 10 April and in Chioggia, in Veneto, 13 to 15 May. “We have involved three truck already in our first event in 2010 in Marciano (Ar) – continues Ricciarini – and even then we had a clear idea of how this industry would have developed and today we have the knowledge and the right tools to be able to expand this world even at this kind of street workers “. It is a way of interpreting in a modern way the street food, while not losing the essential values that are then those collected from the Decalogue of street food that the association carries and wuth which selects its partners.

In last year’s event, 28 as I said, the latest in Belluno, were reached throughout Italy nearly two million people who consumed more than 1 ton of fried fish and 600 tons of traditional french fries and type “tornado”. Over 50 thousand piadine, then again 100,000 arancine, 800 kilos of ca ‘Meusa bread, 500 kilos of panelle. Over a ton of Spanish paella, 60 quintals of Argentine meat and 40 quintals of lampredotto. From Puglia are arrived more than 70 quintals of bombette and 600 are the kilos for lime cocktail “on the road”. From Abruzzo 120,000 arrosticini and from Tuscany 600 kilos of Chianina meat for burgers. A success not only for the organizers of the events, but to share with the economic operators of the sector and territories who have believed in this project. Also dozens of side events, moments of confrontation and conferences, a competition dedicated to the national press and dozens of concerts that were the backdrop to the various stages.
